Storage concepts

YETI server is based on an OpenStack Object Storage system.

Data storage space is organized in three different layers :

  • The projects.
  • The containers.
  • The objects (actual data storage)

Then, different users can be attached to a project, or granted specific access rights to dedicated containers or objects.

The containers are part of a project.
